Dinner was AMAZING at Shaggy’s. It was my second time back and I was not disappointed with the service from Gale. She was so sweet and very knowledgeable about menu items and drink recommendations. The hostess, Trinity, was great and we loved talking with her while we waited for our table. Definitely be back to see them both (:

The food is good, the service is excellent and consistent. The seafood is excellent, but I keep coming back for the nachos with the extra chicken. It's a lot of fun to eat and share with friends and family, especially after playing on the nearby beach. It's pet friendly, and even though it's an elevated building, there is an easy ramp-up if you have mobility issues. Parking is generally not a problem, even with pulling in with a dually. And the beach parking is just past the entrance. If you walk up from the beach, there is a stop light with pedestrian assistance for crossing the busy beach front road.

Nick was our bartender and he was great. Everyone at this establishment was awesome despite the crazy large crowd. It was literally standing room only and then some waiting outside but although we were told the wait would be one and a half hours, we were seated at the bar and our food arrived quickly. The portions are very large so be prepared to ask for a to go box and everything was made to perfection. Definitely recommend!

I loved this place. It had fanned and misted seating outside with a clear view of the beach I just came from. I got the fish platter at the suggestion of my wonderful server, Brenden, and it was the best fried fish I have had in years. I don't know what they put in that fry, but it delivers. It's served with sauces but all I used was the lemon wedge. I didn't get to try dessert because I wanted to get on the road, but apparently, they have a blueberry cobbler cheesecake, a caramel brownie cheesecake, and other tantalizing choices. Ugh. Such a good experience. Thanks!

This is our first time here and we love it. The food was wonderful and our waitress Gale is top notch! There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. I recommend Shaggy’s if you are in the area and want a beach hometown feel and food.

UPDATE: The tale of two Shaggy's. We returned to Shaggy's Gulfport the day before we left for home and this time I ordered the Royal Reds -- and was disappointed. It was similar to the Royal Reds I had at Shaggy's Pass Harbor, but definitely not as good. So, if you want exceptional service, go the the Gulfport location. If you want the best Royal Reds, go to Pass Harbor. The food was very good (Shrimp Trio and Shaggy's Cheeseburger) but the service was FANTASTIC. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, we felt like family. Trinity greeted us and took our drink order, then Brendan took over and made sure our every want and need was taken care of. He is a server superstar and I hope management awards him for his efforts. Kudos to both Trinity and Brendan -- Excellent job. When we ate at another Shaggy's location, I ordered the Royal Reds and they were outstanding. But I decided on the Shrimp Trio just to sample a different dish. I wish I had ordered the Royal Reds again. Now there was nothing wrong with my order - it just couldn't compare to the Royal Reds. While my wife truly enjoyed her cheeseburger and would definitely order it again. I'd have to change to the Royal Reds. As far as the shrimp - the garlic shrimp was the best followed by the bacon wrapped grilled shrimp, and in last place, the coconut shrimp. Shaggy's menu has something for everyone and I'm sure a lot of folks would really enjoy the Shrimp Trio. But for me, when I return to Shaggy's, I'm going to order the Royal Reds.

We selected this place randomly based on Google reviews and it didn't disappoint! Our hostess was super friendly at the door, our server Nathan was great, too! The drinks and local beer selections are good but the food was amazing! My platter came with three sauces but the seasoning is on point that you don't even need them. Our table was outdoors and we had a great lunch with a beautiful view of the Gulf! Would love to visit the area again.

I came looking for crab cakes and they had been discontinued, but my food was DELICIOUS Our server, Serenity, was attentive and pleasant. The key lime pie was amazing (minus the gluten free crust). I’ll definitely be back! Sidyetta - Baton Rouge, Louisiana
